Who doesn't love doodles? There are many times it helps you get through that boring class by getting your hands moving, even if you don't know what you're drawing, but hey, it's fun right? Well, turns out, that isn't the only benefit of doodling, let's take a deep breath and analyze the benefits of it.
1) It keeps you active
As I said before, doodling is really a great way to stay active, it just depends on the context, and in this context, it's about drawing. So, not only it keeps you from getting bored, it helps portrays your idea into a messier, freely expressed drawing bits, and it's great to pick up some of those ideas and turned it into an actual drawing.
2) It tells about your mental state
Have you ever realize " What have I just drawn? " after finish doodling? Because if you not, you're not doodling! With that being said, you can't just get the idea of your doodling out of nowhere, it comes from the influences under your mind. Gloomy, zany, furious, and more can often be seen under these doodles' tones, though it's easier to tell if you're the one who draws them.
3) Can express your inner thoughts you never thought of
Because you're most likely to be unconscious at all while doodling, and you don't know what you're drawing, an "out-of-nowhere" idea comes in your head and boom, you're totally inspired,
4) You get to be more experimental
Of course, doodles can be used to construct the drawing more easily, and often can be used for guiding, and when you didn't get your hands on an actual drawing, you can drawing anything you want on the paper! So don't worry, you will soon figure it out!
5) It calms your soul
If you're not in the mood for drawing, doodling can heal you from an Art "burnout"
6) People take doodles less serious than actual drawing
And yes, this is one of these benefits. While doodles tell a lot about personality, cute and minimalistic doodles are often be made, which might make people feel more comfortable around you, and it could be used for decorating some serious document to makes it looks more appealing and eye-catching.
